Bitcoin and Black America author urges protesters to buy bitcoin

The author of the popular book Bitcoin and Black America, Isaiah Jackson, in an interview with Cointelegraph, spoke about the role of the first cryptocurrency in protests overwhelming the United States.

Mass demonstrations in the United States began after a policeman killed African-American George Floyd in detention. People took to the streets with demands for justice and an end to police brutality against black people.

Jackson noted that the main enemy of African Americans is the traditional financial system:

“When the economy is broken, no matter how hard you try, you will still be thrown into areas with increased police control. Then the skirmishes begin and the police begin to kill black people, which triggers the domino effect. ”

As the main problems of the economy, Jackson called the lack of work for 40 million US residents and the uncontrolled press of the Fed’s fiat money. He added that people began to realize who their main enemy was.

“What strategy can help our society in the future? I think that people have just realized that bitcoin can be a solution. “

Ethereum developers postpone Berlin hard fork

Hard fork Berlin in the Ethereum core network is being ported due to the need to finalize the update, Trustnodes reports.

About two weeks ago, the developer Hudson Jameson wrote that the work was coming to the finish line and, in general, the developers were doing fine.

However, as it turned out during the last conference call, the developers failed to launch the testnet at the indicated time, since some EIPs were not included in the system.

Initially, YOLO was supposed to serve as a test environment interacting with various clients for six weeks before the hard fork.

The Berlin update itself in the Ethereum core network was planned for implementation until the end of June. Now, according to optimistic estimates, the hard fork will take place in early autumn.

The Berlin update is needed to start the zero phase of Ethereum 2.0. Thus, the timing of the launch of the second version of the air is still in question.

Among other things, Berlin anticipated the following changes:

– ProgPoW (EIP-1057), designed to increase the efficiency of Ethereum GPU mining to counter ASIC miners and, accordingly, increase the degree of network decentralization;
– EIP-1380, EIP-2045, EIP-2046 – updates associated with changes in the cost of gas for various operations.
– EIP-1985 – optimization of the Ethereum virtual machine.

Recall, recently the ETH 2.0 test network called Schlesi split up due to a breach of consensus between customers.
